The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents no.1 to 3 to take action against illegal and unauthorised construction in the property bearing No.893, Ward No.08, Mehta Tailor Wali Gali, in front of Multan Dharamshala, Mehrauli, New Delhi-110030. Photographs of the unauthorised construction have been filed along with the present writ petition. 2. Status report on behalf of the respondent-MCD has been handed over in Court today and the same is taken on record. This is a digitally signed order. The property has been booked for unauthorised construction on 4th September, 2025. ii. Demolition order has been passed on 1st October, 2025 and 19th January, 2026. iii. Letters dated 23rd September, 2025 and 19th January, 2026 have been issued to the SHO, Police Station-Mehrauli to ensure that no unauthorised construction is carried out in the subject property. iv. Communications for the disconnection of electricity and water supply have also been sent to the concerned authorities. v. Communications have been sent to the Sub-Registrar with a request not to register any document concerning the subject property. vi. Prosecution under Section 466-A of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 (DMC Act) has been initiated against the owner/builder of the subject property. vii. Sealing proceedings under Section 345-A of the DMC Act have also been initiated in respect of the subject property. viii. Pursuant to the demolition order, demolition action has been carried out on 18th February, 2026 and on 9th April, 2026. ix. Further demolition action is planned for 21st April, 2026. 4. Taking note of the aforesaid contents of the status report filed by the respondent-MCD, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondent-MCD to take action in terms of what is stated in the status report. 5. The concerned Police Station shall provide adequate Police force to the respondent-MCD for the purposes of the proposed demolition action. Further, the Police authorities shall also keep watch and ward over the subject property This is a digitally signed order.
