Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:- “a. This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or suitable direction to the respondent no.02 for considering the name of the petitioner for promotion on the post of Sub-Engineer (Electrical) with all consequential benefits etc. b. This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to order for discontinue the services of the respondent no.3. c. This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to allow any other relief as the Hon’ble deemed fit and proper along with the cost of petition.” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner is working as Lineman under respondent No.2 and after completing requisite period of service as Lineman, he become eligible for consideration of his name for promotion to the post of Sub-Engineer (Electrical). However, on the post of Sub-Engineer (Electrical), respondent No.2 has posted respondent No.3 on contract basis, who is not having requisite qualification to hold said post i.e. Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Petitioner has submitted representation before respondent No.2 on 20.2.2025, 27.5.2025, which are pending consideration, therefore, direction may be issued to respondent No.2 to take decision 3 on pending representations of petitioner expeditiously within specified time. 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respective respondents would submit that in view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, they are not having any objection. 4. Heard learned counsel for respective parties and perused the documents annexed along with writ petition. 5. Considering the facts and circumstance of case, nature of grievance raised in this writ petition and submission of learned counsel for respective parties, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take decision on pending representations of petitioner dated 20.2.2025 and 27.2.2005, on its own merits, in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the order. 6.
