GP FOR HOME 2 Dr.YLR, J W.P.No.12468 of 2026 Dated 12468 of 2026 The Court made the following: ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief :- “…to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondent No.3 and 4 and their sub-ordinates in frequently calling the petitioner to the Koilakuntla Police Station, Koilakuntla,Nandyal district and harassing him without following the due process of law, as being illegal, arbitrary, oppressive, and violative of the petitioner's fundamental rights under Articles 14, 19, and 21 of the Constitution of India and Consequently, direct the respondents, particularly the Respondent No.3 and 4 and their sub ordinates not to insist upon the physical presence of the petitioner at the Koilakuntla Police Station, Koilakuntla, Nandyal district and not to harass him in any manner without following due process of law and pass such order(s).” 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. M/s. Ayesha Azma, learned Counsel for the Petitioner, submits that the Respondent Nos. 3 and 4 and their subordinates, who are repeatedly calling the Petitioner to the Police Station and subjecting him to harassment without following the due process of law. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submits that the allegations of harassment are false and baseless. The Petitioner has criminal antecedents, and his movements are being monitored as part of routine policing for maintenance of law and order. On 16.04.2026, the police conducted visible policing in the area, and they neither visited the Petitioner’s house nor summoned him or seized his phone. 3 Dr.YLR, J W.P.No.12468 of 2026 Dated 12468 of 2026 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Respondent police henceforth not to call the Petitioner to the police station except in accordance with due process of law. 6.
