ORAL ORDER
1. Accused no.1 in Crime No.99 of 2026 registered by Tavarekere Police Station, Bangalore South, for offences punishable under Sections 85 and 108 of BNS, 2023 is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail.
2. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.
3. FIR in Crime No.99 of 2026 was registered by Tavarekere Police Station, Bangalore South, for the aforesaid offences against petitioner herein and his father, based on the first information dated 15.04.2026 received from Smt. Mohan Kumari, mother of deceased, Jeevitha shree. In the said case, petitioner herein was arrested on 15.04.2026 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.293 of 2026 was rejected on 12.05.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court.

4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that, marriage of the petitioner with the deceased was solemnized on
10.05.2020. The allegation in the first information is that, after marriage, the accused persons were not properly looking after Jeevitha Shree and she was being ill- treated in her matrimonial house.
5. In the first information, it is alleged that, on 11.04.2026 petitioner and his father allegedly had quarreled with the deceased and in that regard, a panchayat was also held. Subsequently, on 14.04.2026, Jeevitha Shree had committed suicide by hanging herself in her matrimonial house at about 01.00 p.m.
6. Investigation of the case is completed and charge sheet has been filed. The alleged offences are not punishable with death or life imprisonment. Petitioner having no criminal antecedent is in custody for the last more than 2 months. His custody is not required by the prosecution for any purpose.
7. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter and the nature of allegations found in the first information as well

as in the charge sheet, I am of the opinion that his prayer for grant of regular bail needs to be answered affirmatively.
8. Accordingly, the following:-
ORDER Criminal petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.99 of 2026 registered by Tavarekere Police Station, Bangalore South, for offences punishable under Sections 85 and 108 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions:- a) The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future.

e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is
disposed off.
