Accused No.11 in Crime No.24 of 2026 registered by Amruthahalli Police Station, Bangalore City for offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b) & 22 of NDPS Act is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.24 of 2026 was registered by Amrutha halli Police Station, Bengaluru City for the aforesaid offences against four persons, based on the first information dated 19.01.2026 received from Mr. Ramesh, police officer attached to Amruthahalli Police Station. In the said case petitioner was arrested on 04.02.2026 and in his remand application he was arrayed as accused no.11. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.1456 of 2026 was dismissed on 23.03.2026. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that, based on credible information received, the police had apprehended accused nos.1 to 4 named in the FIR on 19.01.2026 and from their possession contraband articles were seized and subsequently the said accused were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. It appears that based on the confession statement of the arrested accused, the petitioner and some of the other accused were also arrested. 5. It is not in dispute that there is no recovery of any contraband article from the possession of the petitioner and the prosecution has not collected any material during the course of investigation to connect him to the crime. Similarly situated accused no.10 has been granted regular bail by this Court in Criminal Petition No.3025 of 2026 and accused no.12 was granted regular bail in Criminal Petition No.6516 of 2026. Accused no.5 to 7 were granted regular bail by this Court in Criminal Petition No.4683 of 2026. Accused no.2 was granted regular bail in Criminal Petition No.7273 of 2026 and accused no.4 was granted regular bail in Criminal Petition No.4921 of 2026. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.24 of 2026 registered by Amruthahalli Police Station, Bangalore City for offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b) & 22 of NDPS Act, subject to the following conditions:- a) The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:33353 CRL.P No. 6972 of 2026 e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is disposed off.
