Heard the parties. 2. It is the grievance of the petitioners that though the land along with house and other structure over it, has been acquired under the National Highways Act, 1956 but the adequate compensation has not been paid. He submits that the compensation which is being paid is less than the actual amount. He further submits that the measurement of the area has also not been made properly. 3. Since, it is an admitted case that the land has been acquired in terms of the National Highways Act, I direct the 2026:JHHC:9503 2 petitioners to approach appropriate authority under the National Highways Act as there are sufficient provisions in the Act for redressal of the grievance of the petitioners. The respondents will pass an appropriate order in terms of the Act and if necessary, may refer the matter for arbitration also. 4. The petitioners are directed to file a fresh representation before the authorities. 5. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
