By these petitions, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR registered with the Rynjah Police Station, East Khasi Hills, being P.S. Case No.341(12) of 2025, for the alleged offence punishable under Section 351(2) of the BNS. 3. Learned PP has tendered a photo copy of the police report dated 13th May, 2026. The said report is taken on record. From the said report, it appears that the police have presently closed the case after observing, that the case is true but for want of evidence and that the case may be revived, whenever evidence is received in support of the case. Thus, primarily it appears that the report is an ‘A’ summary report. 4. In view of the aforesaid, nothing survives for further consideration in these petitions, petitions stand disposed of. 2026:MLHC:461 5. Needless to state that, if in future the occasion so arises, where the case is revived/reviewed or a fresh cause of action arises, the petitioners are at liberty to file a fresh petition, which will be considered on its own merits.
