ORAL ORDER
The petitioner is before this Court calling in question proceedings in C.C.No.37120/2021 (PCR.No.13604/2018) and C.C.No.37126/2021 (PCR No.13602/2018), pending before the IX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Bengaluru City, for the offences under Section 63 of Copyright Act, Sections 65 and 68 of the Information Technology Act and Section 120B of Indian Penal Code. 2. Heard Sri.Devaraja M, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Smt.Parina Lalla, learned counsel appearing for the respondent and have perused the material on record. - 4 -

3. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and have filed a Joint Compromise Memo in both the petitions. 4. In Crl.P.No.9598/2023, Joint Compromise Memo reads as follows:
“The undersigned parties respectfully submit as follows:
1. That, in view of the settlement arrived at between them, the Respondent herein has no objection to the grant of the relief(s) of quashing as sought before this Hon'ble Court, in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The undersigned parties further declare that save and except the above-mentioned proceedings and the complaint in respect of which the above petition is filed, neither the Petitioner nor the Respondent has initiated, instituted, or is prosecuting any other legal proceedings, whether civil or criminal, against one another before any court, tribunal, authority or forum whatsoever. 3. The parties further categorically declare and confirm that there are no inter se claims, demands, disputes or causes of action of any nature whatsoever, whether past, present or future, subsisting between them, and that all claims, if any, stand fully settled and extinguished pursuant to the present settlement. 4. The parties state that the present settlement is arrived at voluntarily, without any coercion or undue influence, and is intended to bring quietus to all disputes between them once and for all.
WHEREFORE, the parties to the above case humbly pray that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to quash the proceedings in C. C. No. 37120/2021 (arising of out PCR No. 13604/2018) registered for the offences made penal under Sections 43 of

the Copyright Act, Sections 65 and 68 of the Information Technology Act and Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code pending on the file of the IX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru, to secure the ends of justice.”
5. In Crl.P.No.9594/2023, Joint Compromise Memo reads as follows:
“The undersigned parties respectfully submit as follows:

6. The parties to the lis are present before the Court and are identified by their respective counsels. 7. In the light of Joint Compromise Memos as quoted supra being filed and offences not being against the State, I deem it appropriate to accept the Joint Compromise Memos and terminate the proceedings against the petitioner in the subject petition. 8. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:
ORDER [I] Criminal Petitions are disposed. [II] In Crl.P.No.9598/2023, proceedings in C.C.No.37120/2021 (PCR.No.13604/2018) and in Crl.P.No.9594/2023, proceedings in C.C.No.37126/2021 (PCR No.13602/2018), both pending before the IX Additional Chief Metropolitan
