Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than eight months and the recovery was from a vehicle. Learned advocate submits that the recovery itself is very questionable and the prosecution has relied upon 17 witnesses. As such, there is no possibility of the trial concluding in near future. In CRM (NDPS) 225 of 2026 there is already a direction for splitting up the trial and proceeding to the stage of consideration of charges within a period of 90 days. At this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid stage is over. 2 The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 267 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
