The learned counsl appearing for the petitioner submits that last year, there was no law and order problem and “Adal Padal” program was conducted as a part of the temple festival. 3. Considering the above said fact, the order impugned in the writ petition wherein the request of the petitioner for conducting “Adal Padal” program has been rejected is hereby set aside and the respondent police is directed to permit the petitioner to conduct “Adal Padal” program on 27.05.2026 between 06.00 pm., to 10.00 pm at Arulmigu Sri Selliyaramman 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.Crl.(MD)No.2773 of 2026 Thirukovil Pongal Urchava Festival function at Pudhusurankudi Village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District and to provide adequate police protection.
