The memo reads as follows: “MEMO The Petitioner submits as under: 1. The Petitioner had filed the present Petition seeking quashing of the criminal proceedings in C.C. No. 772/2025 pending on the file of the learned 24th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 306 and 317(2) of the BNSS. 2. It is submitted that during the pendency of the present Petition, the trial in the said case has been concluded and the learned Special Court for Economic Offences, Bengaluru, by its Judgment and Order dated - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:32779 CRL.P No. 12042 of 2025 06.04.2026, was pleased to acquitted the Accused/Petitioner of all the charges levelled against him. 3. In view of the subsequent acquittal of the Petitioner, the relief sought in the present Petition no longer survives for consideration and, therefore, the present Petition has become infructuous. WHEREFORE, the Petitioner most humbly prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to dispose of the present Petition as having become infructuous, in the interest of justice and equity.” In terms of the memo, the criminal petition stands disposed as having become infructuous.
