The present writ petition has been filed invoking the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a limited prayer for the early disposal of Contempt Petition No. 57/2025, which is presently pending adjudication before the learned Appellate Tribunal, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), Jaipur. 2. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that an underlying order dated 18.04.2024 came to be passed by the JDA. Alleging willful non-compliance of the said order, the petitioner was constrained to prefer the aforementioned contempt petition before the learned JDA Appellate Tribunal. [2026:RJ-JP:16383] (2 of 2) [CW-6858/2026] 3. It is submitted that despite the passage of a considerable period of time, the said contempt proceedings have remained sub judice for the past 9 months. It is vehemently argued that such administrative delay frustrates the very objective of the initial order and causes grave prejudice to the petitioner. 4. Accordingly, without delving into the merits of the underlying dispute, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition. The Presiding Officer, Appellate Tribunal, JDA, Jaipur, is directed to consider and adjudicate the sub judice contempt petition as expeditiously as possible, strictly in accordance with the law, and preferably within a period of 60 days. 5.
