JUSTICE R.K. PATTANAIK Order No. ORDER 13.02.2026 01. 1. Heard learned counsel for the respective parties. 2. Instant petition under Section 482 BNSS is filed for pre-arrest bail of the petitioner in connection with Balasore Sadar P.S. Case No.552 of 2025 corresponding to C.T. Case No.977 of 2025 pending in the file of learned J.M.F.C. CITY, Balasore on the grounds stated therein. 3. Gone through the F.I.R. as at Annexure-1. Ms. Panigrahi, learned counsel for the petitioner appears through virtual mode and submits that there has been a settlement reached at between the parties. The further submission is that the informant is the step-daughter of the petitioner and after the alleged incident reported, there has been a compromise between them. All the offences are bailable except the offence under Section 118(1) BNS. 4. Recorded the objection of the State. 5. It is claimed that the victim has not received any injury, as a result of the mischief committed. It is also claimed that the petitioner and her husband are staying together at present. 6. Recording the submissions as above and objection of the State, this Court, regard being had to the circumstances under which the alleged incident took place, is of the view that the petitioner, who is a lady should be directed to surrender before the learned court below, instead of granting her pre- arrest bail, for being released by the order of the learned J.M.F.C. CITY, Balasore with suitable conditions imposed. 7. Accordingly, it is ordered. 8. In the result, ABLAPL stands disposed of with the direction as aforesaid. It is further directed that upon surrender before the court of learned J.M.F.C. CITY, Balasore within a fortnight from today, the petitioner shall be released on bail in connection with Balasore Sadar P.S. Case No.552 of 2025 corresponding to C.T. Case No.977 of 2025 subject to her furnishing a bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with one solvent surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned court below, which shall be at liberty to impose such other suitable conditions as deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case besides verifying the claim regarding the compromise between both the sides. 9.
