Affidavit-of-service filed today be kept on record. 2. Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that initially a contempt application was filed before the Tribunal by the petitioners. Subsequently, the address of the office of the alleged contemnor changed, due to which the petitioners were directed to cause service of the contempt application afresh upon the respondents and submit affidavit-of-service positively by the next date. 2 3. In the same breath, it was recorded by the Tribunal by the order dated November 25, 2025 that the learned Government representative submitted that the cause title of the contempt application requires amendment in view of the fact that the post of B.L. & L.R.O, Kolkata has been created. The applicants were accordingly directed to take appropriate steps in that regard before compliance of the direction for service. 4. Construing the said direction to be one for filing an amended application for contempt, the petitioners filed the contempt application in amended form by incorporating the current address of the post of B.L. & L.R.O, Kolkata. However, subsequently the learned Tribunal repeatedly directed the petitioners to comply with the direction dated November 25, 2025, on the premise that the petitioners are required to file an appropriate application for amendment of the contempt application for incorporating the change of office of the post of B.L. & L.R.O, Kolkata, that is, the alleged contemnor. 5. Learned senior counsel submits that such unnecessary procedural wrangle ought not to be resorted to in view of the petitioners having already re-filed the contempt application bearing M.A. 1080 of 2010 with the correct cause title of the alleged contemnor. 6. We find substance in such contention. 7. Accordingly, WPLRT 121 of 2026 is disposed of by directing the Fourth Bench, West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal to take up for hearing the contempt application bearing M.A. 1080 of 3 2010 in its amended form by treating the same to be in due compliance of the direction dated November 25, 2025 and to decide the same on merits upon giving opportunity of hearing to both parties. 8. It is expected that such exercise shall be concluded as early as possible, preferably within two months from the date of communication of this order to the learned Tribunal. 9. There will be no order as to costs. 10. Urgent certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
