ORAL ORDER
1. The petitioner- Kum.Navya H.K. of (CTP No.00989) is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: (a) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus to the respondents, for extension of parole granted by this Hon'ble Court by 30 days to the convict, Sri.Kantharaju S/o Hanumegowda (CTP No.00989). (b) Pass such other orders/directions considering the
facts and circumstances of the case, together with costs, in the interest of justice.

2. Petitioner - daughter of Kantharaju - CTP 00989 is before this Court seeking for extension of the parole earlier granted to her father the detenu.
3. This Court, by its order dated 15.12.2025 in Writ Petition No.35481/2025 had taken into
consideration the various facts granted parole for 60 days commencing from
22.12.2025. The petitioner has complied with the condition of the said parole and surrendered to the jail authorities after the completion of the parole time. During the period in which the detenu was on parole there is no complaint or allegation against the detenu. In that view of the matter considering that the petitioner is now to be married and her engagement is fixed on 08.07.2026, the detenu is granted 30 days parole, commencing from 06.07.2026.
4. The petitioner and the family members of the detenu shall comply with all the requirements before that date.

5. Accordingly, I pass the following:
ORDER i) The Writ Petition is allowed. ii) Respondent–Chief Superintendent, Central Prison, Bangalore, is directed to release the detenu- Kantharaju on parole for a period of 30 days commencing from 06.07.2026, subject to the following conditions: a) The prisoner- CTP No.00989 shall mark his attendance in the jurisdictional Police Station, weekly once throughout the period of his parole and it would be the responsibility of the jurisdictional Police to take them to gaol, in the event, the convict would evade going back to the gaol, after the expiry of the period of parole. b) Respondent No.1- State of Karnataka shall stipulate strict conditions as are usually stipulated to ensure return of the detenu to the

gaol and that he shall not commit any other offence during the period of parole. iii) The Registry is directed to communicate the order to the prison authority for its immediate execution.
