The petitioner has filed the instant petition for following reliefs:- “10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire record pertaining to the proceedings drawn by respondent No. 5 on the application for mutation preferred by the petitioners which is pending adjudication, for the kind perusal of this Hon’ble Court. 10.2 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ directing respondent No. 5 (Tehsildar, Bodri, District Bilaspur (C.G.)) to decide the pending application for mutation dated 20.06.2025 preferred by the petitioners in light of the order dated 16.01.2025 passed by the learned Commisioner, Bilaspur Division, District Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. 10.3 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ directing initiation of departmental proceedings against the respondent No. 5 for not taking any decision for more than a year on the pending application for mutation preferred by the petitioners despite there being an order from the superior revenue court. 10.4 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief, which it deems fit and proper.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had filed an online application on 20.06.2025 before the Tehsildar, Bodri, District Bilaspur (C.G.), seeking mutation of their names in the revenue records. It is submitted that despite the lapse of 3 considerable time, the said application is still pending consideration and has not been decided till date. Being aggrieved by such inaction on the part of the concerned authority, the petitioners have been restrained to invoke the writ jurisdiction of this Court seeking a direction to respondent No. 5/Tehsildar to consider and decide the aforesaid mutation application in accordance with law. Learned counsel further submits that the concerned Commissioner, by order dated 16.01.2025, has already recorded that the parties have settled their dispute, and therefore, no impediment survives for deciding the petitioners' application for mutation. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State/respondents submits that he has no objection to issuance of an appropriate direction to the concerned Tehsildar for expeditious consideration and disposal of the online application preferred by the petitioners on 20.06.2025. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, particularly the fact that the petitioners had already submitted an online application for mutation on 20.06.2025 and that the Commissioner, Bilaspur Division, District Bilaspur (C.G.), vide order dated 16.01.2025, has recorded that the parties have settled their dispute, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the concerned Tehsildar to consider and decide the said application 4 dated 20.06.2025 expeditiously, preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioners, and the aforesaid direction is being issued solely in view of the order dated 16.01.2025 passed by the Commissioner, Bilaspur Division, District Bilaspur (C.G.), and the pending online application dated 20.06.2025 (Annexure P-1). The petitioners shall approach the concerned Tehsildar within a period of one week from the date of this order along with a copy of the same and shall pursue the remedy available to them before the competent authority in accordance with law. 6.
