2026:JHHC:27399 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Cont. Case (Civil) No. 758 of 2026 1. Md. Zaffar Ansari 2. Md. Washi Akhtar 3. Md. Jainul 4. Md. Abdul Jabbar 5. Md. Shekhawat ….. Petitioners Versus 1. The State of Jharkhand 2. The Cricle Officer, Katkamsandi, Hazaribagh ….. Opposite Parties ----- CORAM HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH SHANKAR ----- For the Petitioners: Mr. Hemat Kr. Shikarwar, Advocate For O.P.No.2: Mr. Amrit Raj Kisku, A.C to G.A-V ----- 04/11.09.2026 The present contempt application has been filed against the O.P.No.2 alleging wilful disobedience and non-compliance of the order dated 27.01.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No. 5724/2024. 2. Mr. Amrit Raj Kisku, learned A.C to G.A-V, refers to the reasoned order as contained in Memo No. 07/Mu. dated 05.09.2026 passed by the O.P.No.2 (Annexure-A to the show cause affidavit dated 11.09.2026) and submits that the aforesaid order of this Court has now been complied. 3. As against this, Mr. Hemat Kr. Shikarwar, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that the said order of the O.P.No.2 would itself suggest that out of total area of 13.17 Acres of land, only 3.90 Acres have been said to be falling under the category of protected forest land and therefore, at least, he should have been issued the rent receipt with respect to balance part of the land. 4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the nature of the order dated 27.01.2025 passed in W.P.(C) No. 5724/2024, this Court is of the view that no case of contempt is made out against the O.P.No.2. 5. The contempt proceeding as against the O.P.No.2 is dropped. 6. The present contempt application stands disposed of. 2026:JHHC:27399 7. The petitioners are however at liberty to take further recourses as available under law with respect to the reasoned order dated 05.09.2026 passed by the O.P.No.2. Satish/- (RAJESH SHANKAR, J)
