Romesh Verma, Judge(oral) The present petition has been filed seeking mainly the following reliefs:- “a) That the writ of mandamus may kindly be issued directing the respondents to extend/grant further parole to the petitioner in emergency for medical threaphy/ surgery etc. for further period of two months required as per advise of Doctors as Annexure P-5. b) That the respondents kindly be directed to provide the entire necessary medical requirement to the petitioner as per the advice of the Doctor and also associate his family member to attend the patient at hospital.” 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the parole as granted by the authorities Modern Central Jail, Kanda, vide Annexure P-4. is going to expire on 11.02.2026. He submits that his client is suffering from various serious ailments and he requires treatment for the same. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that he had made a representation to the Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services, Himachal Pradesh on 04.02.2026. He also contends that petitioner shall be satisfied in case the respondents are directed to decide the said representation for the extension of the medical parole within the time bound direction. 4. Without commenting on the merits of the case and without observing anything on merits, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the application filed by the petitioner for extension of parole on or before 16.02.2026. ( 2026:HHC:3476 ) 5. The order which shall be passed by the authority concerned shall be communicated to the petitioner, so that he can take recourse to law, in accordance with law. 6.
