CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI Present: Mr. Suneet Singh Deol, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Ravi Kumar Indlia, Central Govt. Counsel for the respondents No.1 and 3 to 6. Mr. Sahil R. Bakshi, A.A.G., Punjab. *** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL)
1. Through the instant writ petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a direction to respondent No.3 to issue a fresh passport in his favour after obtaining due verification and clarification from Police Station Taragarh, District Pathankot.
2. It is stated that as many as four FIRs have been registered against the petitioner. However, no material has been placed on record to demonstrate that the petitioner has obtained, or even sought, permission from the trial Court concerned for the renewal of his passport. In such circumstances, no ground is made out to issue the yearned-for directions to the authority concerned. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed.
