Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the victim was grievously assaulted by the petitioner. He relies on the statements of eye- witnesses and the victim, and the injury report, which shows infliction of multiple injuries, including a punctured fracture on the forearm and a fracture on the leg. From the photographs on record, it appears that one of the fingers was practically severed from the hand. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. The application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is, thus, rejected. 2 Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
