Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record. 2. The petitioners are the estranged parents of a victim of a political violence. The widow of the victim, the respondent no. 8 herein, had been given a compassionate appointment in the Home Guard Department of the Government of West Bengal. 3. The petitioners are now aggrieved that the respondent no. 8, is not discharging her duties in maintaining the petitioners and is frittering the income that she draws from such service. 4. The petitioners have made a representation dated 01.07.2025 with the respondent no. 4, which is pending consideration. 5. I direct respondent no. 4 to dispose of such representation by 31.08.2026 upon giving a hearing to the petitioners as well as the respondent no. 8 with adequate prior notice. 6. With the afore-stated directions, the writ-petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. 7. Urgent Photostat Certified Copy of this order be given to the parties, if applied for, on priority basis.
