The petitioner has filed the instant petition for following reliefs:- “10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue writ/writs/order/direction to the respondent authorities to initiate the acquisition proceeding and pay the proper compensation of the land of petitioners with interest. 10.2 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue writ/writs/order/direction to the respondent authorities to pay the fair compensation at the present market value of the land of the petitioners or returned the land of petitioners with immediate effect. 10.3 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent to decide the representation made by petitioners in accordance with the Act 2013 within stipulated period. 10.4 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief, as it may deem fit. 10.5 Cost of the petition may also be awarded.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that an application seeking payment of compensation is already pending consideration before the concerned Collector. He, therefore, prays that the petitioners may be granted liberty to pursue the said application before the competent authority, which may be directed to consider and decide the same in accordance with law. 3. Learned counsel for the State/respondents does not oppose the limited prayer as made by counsel for the petitioners. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and having regard to the fact that the petitioners' application seeking grant of 3 compensation has remained pending before the concerned Collector since 25.09.2019 without any final decision, this Court is of the considered opinion that the ends of justice would be served by directing the competent authority to expeditiously decide the said application. Accordingly, the petitioners are granted liberty to pursue their pending application before the concerned Collector. The concerned Collector is directed to consider and decide the application dated 25.09.2019, strictly in accordance with law within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.
