Learned counsel for the respondents has placed on record a copy of office letter dated 18.11.2025 and, on that basis, submitted that all retiral benefits due to the petitioner have now been released in his favour. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner acknowledged the above fact but submitted that the interest on account of late payment of retiral benefits has not been released to the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the respondents shall examine the issue of payment of interest to the petitioner. In case the interest due to the petitioner has not been paid, 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 in terms of the judgment, the same shall also be released in his favour within four weeks. 4. In view of the above submissions and the assurances given by learned counsel for the respondents, the present petition stands disposed of. Liability, if any, due to be cleared by the respondents towards the petitioner, be cleared within four weeks, i.e., on or before 06.04.2026. Liberty, however, is reserved to the petitioner to seek appropriate remedy, in accordance with law, for the redressal of his surviving grievance, if any.
