Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 80 days; charge-sheet has already been submitted and charges have been framed. Learned advocate emphasizes that the prosecution has relied upon 18 witnesses in order to prove its case, as such, he prays that the petitioner may be released on bail on any stringent condition. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail. The records of the case speak that the petitioner is similarly placed as the other accused person [Hosen Mondal] who has been granted bail in CRM (NDPS) 878 of 2025.
