(C) No. 1346 of 2008 14/08.09.2026 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and learned counsel appearing for the State. 2. This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for quashing the entire proceeding in Land Acquisition Case No.8/2006-07 pending before the Additional Collector, Palamau regarding acquisition of land at Village- Deori Kallan, P.S. Hussainabad for construction of a Sub-Divisional Jail in Khata No.68, Plot No.399, Khata No.72, Plot No.397 and Khata No.79, Plot Nos.394, 396, 398, 400, 401, 415, 416 and 417. The prayer is also made for quashing the order dated 04.12.2007 passed by Additional Collector, Palmau in Land Acquisition Case No.8/2006-07, whereby, the Additional Collector has been pleased to reject the objection petitions filed by the petitioners along with other persons. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that this petition is of the year 2008. He further submits that he has not been instructed by the petitioners and he has tried to contact the petitioners, but he has not been able to contact them and in view of that, he submits that this writ petition may be disposed of with liberty to the petitioners if the cause of action still survives, they will file fresh petition. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the State has got no objection. 5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid liberty. 6. Pending I.A., if any, is disposed of.
