CRM-M-35058 of 2026(O&M) -2- DDR entry was recorded. Petitioner had no connection with the boy and was being implicated for the reason that deceased had called the petitioner as per the call detail record collected by the police. Petitioner was ready and willing to join investigation and make over his mobile phone to police.
4. Notice of motion.
5. Mr. Kunwarbir Singh, AAG Punjab, who is present in the Court accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and has opposed the prayer for anticiaptory bail arguing that petitioner directly contributed to death of the deceased by supplying drugs and his custodial interogation was required.
6. Considering the nature and substance of allegations against the petitioner, his custodial interrogation is necessitated to elicit useful information and recover relevant evidence. Grant of anticipatory bail at this stage will not advance the course of justice and would amount to undue interference in the statutory investigational powers of the police, which is not permissible.
7. Dismissed. All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
