No.20197 of 2024, and pass Counsel for the Petitioner:
1. PRAKASH C Counsel for the Contemnor(S):
1. 2. HARI BABU MAGULURI SC For SERP The Court made the following:
:: ORDER ::
The above contempt case was filed complaining of the violation of the order dated 18.09.2024, passed in W.P.No.20197 of 2024. 2. Heard learned counsel appearing on both sides. 3. The petitioner filed the aforementioned writ petition complaining about the interference of the respondent No.4 in discharging duties as VOA in Gorivimakulapalle Gram Panchayat Ramakuppam Mandal, Chittoor District. 4. The writ petition was disposed of on 18.09.2024. The operative portion of said order reads as follows:
“Given the facts and circumstances of the case coupled with the aforementioned circular issued by the Principal Secretary, SERP, and the oral instructions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, directing the respondent Nos.2 to 5 not to interfere with the petitioner’s discharging duties as Sangamithra / VOA in Gorivimakulapalle Gram Panchayat, Ramakuppam Mandal, Chittoor District. No costs.”
5. The contempt case was filed on 06.12.2024.
In the affidavit filed in support of the contempt case, it was pleaded that the respondents have violated the order dated 18.09.2024 passed in W.P.No.20197 of 2024. Page 3 of 4
6. A counter-affidavit was filed on behalf of respondent No.3. Along with the counter-affidavit, the resolution dated 21.08.2024, passed by the members of the Society, was annexed. A perusal of the resolution would indicate that one Smt. G. Roja, D/o K. Gangadharam was elected as the new VOA in the place of the petitioner. 7. No rejoinder was filed by the petitioner. 8. Thus, as seen from the resolution annexed with the counter-affidavit, the petitioner was replaced with the new incumbent as VOA. Thus, the contention of the petitioner that the respondents are interfering with her discharge of duties is misplaced. Hence, this Court does not find any violation of the order dated 18.09.2024 passed in W.P.No.20197 of 2024, and the contempt case is liable to be dismissed. 9. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the Contempt Case is dismissed. No order as to costs. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________________ JUSTICE SUBBA REDDY SATTI Date: 19.02.2026 TVN p. 4 290 THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SUBBA REDDY SATTI
