Sanjoy Piprawall, Prince Kumar, Jay Prakash, Advocates. ---------- 02/ 31.08.2026 The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioners for following reliefs: i. For a direction upon the respondents to immediately and forthwith appoint the petitioners on the post of Lady Supervisor in 2026:JHHC:26461 2 their respective categories pursuant to Advertisement No. 14 of 2023 (Jharkhand Lady Supervisor Competitive Examination) as the petitioners participated in the said examination and after being successful, appeared in the document verification and no objection was raised during the document verification but their names were not included in the final merit list inspite of the fact that the seats are still lying vacant and the respondent authorities without comparing the merit of the candidate. as reflected at the recruitment test arbitrarily restricted to a few candidates notwithstanding the number of vacancies and the availability of qualified candidates. ii. Further for a direction upon the respondents to reserve the seats for the petitioners during the pendency of the writ petition as the recruitment process is ongoing. 2. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that instant application may be disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioners to approach concerned respondents, so that their grievances raised in the writ application can be redressed. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that since counter- affidavit has not been filed, if the petitioners so wish, they may approach the concerned authorities for redressal of their grievances. 4. Having regard to the limited submissions of learned counsel for the parties, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of by directing the petitioners to file fresh representation(s) before the respondent No. 5. The moment the respondent No. 5 will receive any such representation(s); he shall take decision in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulations within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representation(s). 5. It goes without saying that if the decision is taken in favour of the petitioners, necessary consequential order be issued within a further period of four weeks. 6.
