The petitioner is challenging the order passed by the 3rd respondent, rejecting the appeal preferred against the order of termination passed by the 2nd respondent. The petitioner is also seeking a direction to appoint him as Field Assistant and to pay all salaries. 2. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent No.1 submits that the petitioner was engaged on a contract basis for a specified period, and that the contract period expired in the year 2011. Thereafter, the petitioner was not in service of the respondent. It is also submitted that the respondents have engaged the services of another contractor, and as such, nothing further survives to be adjudicated on merits. 3. Recording the same, the writ petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
