1. The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the Statutory pay scale to the petitioners as per 2009 Rules (Annexure P-7) i.e. Rs.5910- 20200 Grade Pay of Rs.2000/-later on Grade Pay increased to 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.3200/-vide letter dated 23.12.2011 (Annexure P-8) from entry into service along with arrears at interest rate of 12% thereon (the petitioners are demanding 6th pay scale of the Punjab Government as per rule and law) in view of judgment in CWP No. 15896 of 2023 titled Dr. Saurabh Sharma and others Vs. State of Punjab and others.
2. Perusal of the case file shows that the representation dated 05.02.2026 (Annexure P-14) is pending adjudication.

4. Mr. Rajiv Verma, Addl. AG. Punjab, having served with an advance copy of the petition, has put in appearance on behalf of respondent/State and assures the Court that the above-said representation will be decided within time bound manner.
5. Without commenting upon the merits of the case, respondents/Competent Authority, is directed to decide the representation dated 05.02.2026 (Annexure P-14) after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from receipt of certified copy of this order. A copy of the speaking order so passed shall be supplied to the petitioners within one week thereafter.
6. The petition in the aforesaid terms stands disposed off.
