The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the Statutory pay scale to the petitioners as per 2009 Rules (Annexure P-7) i.e. Rs.5910- 20200 Grade Pay of Rs.2000/-later on Grade Pay increased to 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.3200/-vide letter dated 23.12.2011 (Annexure P-8) from entry into service along with arrears at interest rate of 12% thereon (the petitioners are demanding 6th pay scale of the Punjab Government as per rule and law) in view of judgment in CWP No. 15896 of 2023 titled Dr. Saurabh Sharma and others Vs. State of Punjab and others. 2. Perusal of the case file shows that the representation dated 05.02.2026 (Annexure P-14) is pending adjudication. 3. Notice of motion.
