1. Heard Mr. S.C. Pani, learned counsel for the Petitioner, Ms. U. Padhi, learned ASC for State – opposite party and Mr. P. Behera,
learned counsel for Transport Authority
2. Considering the limited grievance of the Petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with a direction to the Opposite Parties, particularly Opposite Party No.2 to accept the arrear M.V. tax amount in respect of vehicle bearing registration No.OD-09- R-4531, if the same is paid within a period of four weeks from today. It is further directed that in the event, the appeal is filed by the Petitioner in respect of said vehicle challenging the penalties, within a period of six weeks from today, the Appellate Authority shall proceed in accordance with law, and in the meantime if the Petitioner prays for issuance of permit and fitness certificate after payment of the arrear of M.V. tax dues in respect of the above said vehicle, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law.
