Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present writ petition has been filed seeking a limited direction to the concerned Tahsildar, Seepat, District Bilaspur to consider and decide the petitioner's application filed under Section 248 of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959, which is pending consideration before the said authority. It is submitted that the application was filed by the petitioner in the year 2024, and the proceedings pursuant thereto were initiated on 11.05.2026; however, thereafter no further effective steps have been taken by the concerned authority and the matter remains pending till date. Learned counsel, therefore, prays that an appropriate direction may be issued to the concerned Tahsildar to consider and decide the pending proceedings expeditiously in accordance with law. 2. Learned State counsel submits that the application filed by the petitioner under Section 248 of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 is pending consideration before the competent authority and the same shall be decided in accordance with law. 3. Considering the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties and having regard to the limited issue involved in the present petition, the concerned Tahsildar is directed to consider and decide the pending application of the petitioner expeditiously, 3 preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 4. While considering the application, the authority shall also take into account that the petitioner has filed the said application on 04.01.2023, and the same shall be decided in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order. 5.
