This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner-plaintiff under Article 227 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers :- “(I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus to decide the divorce proceedings within a time bound period, preferably 03 months in Petition No. 243 of 2025, titled as "Nazia Anjum vs. Mohd. Nafees", under Section 25(1)(ii)(iii)(x) of Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code (UCC), 2024 pending in the learned court of Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Rudrapur, District Udham Singh Nagar, annexed as Annexure no. 2 to this writ petition. (II) Issue any other or further writ, order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. Having heard, the learned Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Rudrapur, District Udham Singh Nagar is directed to make an endeavor to decide the Petition No. 243 of 2025, “Nazia Anjum Vs. Mohd. Nafees”, as expeditiously as possible, as per law, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party. 4. The present Writ Petition (WPMS No.762 of 2026) is disposed of accordingly. 5.
