Petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: "(a) Direct the Respondents to consider the petitioners' Representation effectively made on 28.08.2024 before the respondent police for providing necessary life protection produced as ANNEXURE-A, B, C, D & E. (b) To initiate the enquiry against the Respondent No.7/Muralidhar, Police Inspector, presently working at Madanayakanahalli Police Station through Hon'ble Karnataka Lokayukta for misusing the official capacity, malfeasance, misconduct in the office and abuse of power for personal gain. (c) Grant such other reliefs as this Hon'ble court may deem fit to grant in the circumstances of the case." - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:31778 WP No. 7152 of 2026 2. The grievance of the petitioners is that the representations dated 06.01.2026 and 28.08.2024 submitted by the petitioners for providing police protection have not been considered by the respondents. The allegation made by the petitioners is that respondent No.7 is filing false cases against the petitioners in collusion with the jurisdictional Police Inspector and as such security and protection is to be offered to the petitioners. 3. Even because cases are being filed would not require any protection to be offered by the police. The police would have to investigate those cases in accordance with law and file necessary final reports. 4. This Court had considered another writ petition filed by the petitioner which was not taken on record by the respondents and vide order dated 30.01.2026 in W.P.No.30719/2025 (GM-Police) this Court had directed the registration of FIR and investigation into the allegations made. Hence, the interest of the - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:31778 WP No. 7152 of 2026 petitioners insofar as those complaints are concerned are covered by the aforesaid order. 5. Insofar as the second prayer which has been sought for directing the Hon'ble Lokayukta to conduct necessary enquiry, no complaint having been filed by the petitioners before the Hon'ble Lokayukta till date, no such Enquiry can be directed to be conducted by this Court. 6. Liberty is reserved to the petitioners to approach the Hon'ble Lokayukta to redress any of their grievances. 7. With the above observation, petition stands disposed of.
