GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE BALAJI MEDAMALLI WRIT PETITION NO: 13228 OF 2026 ORDER:- This Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the Respondents in repeatedly visiting the residence of the Petitioner, making enquires, conducting surveillance and threatening the family members of the Petitioner to secure his presence before the Police Station, without issuing any notice and without following the due process of law as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The grievance of the Petitioner is that the Respondent/ Police repeatedly visiting the house of the Petitioner and threatening and harassing the Petitioner and his family members to secure his presence before the Police Station, without issuing any notice and without following the procedure as contemplated under Section 179 of Bharatiya Nagarik Surksha Sanhita, 2023. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the Official Respondents placed on record the Written Instructions of Respondent/ Police, wherein it is stated that no crime has been registered or pending against the Petitioner in M.R.Palli Police Station and his presence is no way required for any case also. Further, stated that no surveillance put on the Petitioner movement. 4. As no instructions are received from other Respondents, the Respondent/ Police are directed not to interfere with the Petitioner’s life and liberty without following due process of law. 5. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
