Ms. Sukhwani Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. Mr. Tumul Nainwal, learned A.G.A. for the State. 3. The instant writ petition has been preferred by the petitioners for seeking adequate protection from private respondent nos. 4 to 6. 4. The case of the petitioners is that both the petitioners are in love with each other and both are major. In support of the age of petitioner no. 1 school leaving certificate as well as copy of Aadhar card are placed on record, and as per these two documents date of birth of petitioner no. 1 is 01.01.2008. 5. It is contended that both the petitioners married in a temple on 05.02.2026 and certificate in this regard was issued by the Purohit of the Temple which is also placed on record as Annexure 1. It is further contended that there is a threat perception from Respondent nos. 4 to 6, therefore, adequate protection may be granted to the petitioners. 6. Both the petitioners are present in Court and are identified by their counsel. 7. This Court also interact with each of them and both of them submits that they were in love and now married each other on their own wish without any coercion. 8. Admittedly as per the documents, as enclosed in the petition, both the petitioners are major and both of them were married in the Temple and, in such an eventuality, if there is a threat perception from the side of the private respondents then the State is under legal obligation to ensure safety and protection of the petitioners. 9. Accordingly, I dispose of the instant writ petition with the direction to respondent no. 2 and 3 to make an assessment of threat perception received by the petitioners and to make an arrangement for their protection from any threat or coercive which may come from respondent nos. 4 to 6. The S.H.O. P.S. Laksar, District Haridwar shall call respondent nos. 4 to 6 to the police station and counsel them not to take law in their hands. 10.
