The Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: (1) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondents to consider the application dated 30.12.2021 vide Annexure-A and Representation dated 16.04.2026 vide Annexure-H made by the petitioner. (2) Pass such other order or orders as deemed fit and proper in the circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the application filed by the petitioner for renewal of a license to deal with arms has not been considered by respondents. 3. Learned AGA, on instructions, submits that the said application was not considered on account of criminal proceedings which were pending against the petitioner. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:32203 WP No. 16382 of 2026 4. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the said criminal proceeding in Special Case No. 6/2022 has ended in acquittal on 8.04.2026 and there is no other criminal proceedings which are pending against the petitioner. If that be so, there would be no impediment for the respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner. As such, I pass the following: ORDER i. The petition is partly allowed. ii. Mandamus is issued directing the respondent to consider the representation and application of the petitioner dated 30.12.2021 at Annexure-A and the representation dated 16.04.2026 at Annexure-H within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
