This Court, vide order dated 19.03.2026 passed in MCRC No. 2573 of 2026, while rejecting the bail of the petitioner, namely, Josan Semual, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of that order, if there was no legal impediment. KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 3. The learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Rajnandgaon District- Rajnandgaon (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 11.06.2026 has requested for grant of 06 months time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the P.U.D. that the case is presently at the stage of prosecution evidence and the learned trial Court is proceeding with the trial on a priority basis. The record further reveals that the delay in conclusion of the trial is neither intentional nor on account of any disregard of the directions issued by this Court. Rather, the delay has occurred due to procedural requirements, completion of necessary documents, adjournments sought by the parties and the order having come to the notice of the Presiding Officer at a later stage. In the aforesaid circumstances, the learned trial Court has submitted that sincere efforts shall be made to conclude the trial within the extended period. Accordingly, the learned trial Court has sought extension of time and has prayed for grant of a further period of six months for concluding the trial and final disposal of the case. 5. The request made by the learned trial Court, is allowed, however, instead of granting six months, this Court deems it appropriate to grant further 04 months time for concluding the trial from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha) Chief Justice Kunal
