Mr. Pratik Majumder, Mr. Kinnor Ghosh. … for the respondent no. 3. 1. The affidavit of service filed today is kept on record. 2. In spite of service, none appears for the respondent nos. 4 to 6. 3. The petitioner had been engaged as an Assistant Professor in Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, the respondent no. 4 herein. The petitioner had rendered his service without any blemish for a considerable period of time. The petitioner was also in course of his service promoted to the post of Associate Professor. In fact, the petitioner had been discharging his duties as Teacher in-Charge, prior to his retirement from the said college. 4. In the circumstances afore-stated, there is 2 absolutely no reason as to why the petitioner’s retiral benefits should not be given to him. 5. The only impediment seems to be the non- furnishing of all requisite documents by the Governing Body of the college, the Teacher in- Charge and the President of the college failing to discharge their duty in furnishing the same to the respondent no. 2. 6. The respondent nos. 5 and 6 are directed to handover all requisite documents to facilitate the disbursement of the petitioner’s retiral benefits as well as gratuity and all other consequential benefits, to the respondent no. 2 by March 20, 2026. 7. The respondent no. 2 will, upon receipt of such requisite documents from the respondent nos. 5 and 6, proceed to disburse the retiral benefits of the petitioner by April 10, 2026. 8. With these afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 9. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 10.
