The grievance of the petitioners is that being majors, they have solemnized their marriage as per Muslim rites on 28.07.2026 with their free will and without any pressure, threat or coercion. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondent Nos. 6 to 8 are continuously harassing and threatening the petitioners of dire consequences despite knowing the fact that the petitioners have solemnized their marriage. The petitioners have raised an apprehension of a threat to their life at the hands of private respondents. In support of their claim regarding their age, petitioner No. 1 has placed on record copy of Grade Card of the Central Board of School Education, whereas the petitioner No. 2 has place on record copy of the Grade Card of Secondary School Examination. They have also placed on 2 WP(C) No. 2442/2026 record a copy of the Nikahnama in support of their claim that they have solemnized their marriage. 02. Without commenting upon the validity of the marriage, this writ petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the petitioners that in the event they apprehend any threat to their life and liberty at the hands of the respondent Nos. 6 to 8, they shall approach respondent No. 4 i.e. SHO, Police Station, Surankote, Poonch, who shall look into the grievance of the petitioners and if found genuine, he shall provide protection to the petitioners against the threats from respondent Nos. 6 to 8. It is, however, made clear that this order shall not be construed as a stamp of approval of the marriage solemnized between the petitioners, nor shall it come in the way of any investigation, if any FIR has been registered. 03.
