This Bail Application under Section 483 and 484 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, has been filed to release the petitioner on regular bail in connection with Doranda P.S. Case No.267 of 2025, for offence under Section 304(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The case is presently pending before the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi.

Heard learned counsel representing the petitioner and learned A.P.P. representing the State. Perused the material available on record and also gone through the impugned order.

Learned A.P.P. representing the State opposes the prayer for bail.

The petitioner is a Goldsmith. It is alleged that a chain was snatched and thereafter it was sold to this petitioner.

There is no recovery from the possession of the petitioner and admittedly the petitioner was not the snatcher. The only material against the petitioner is the antecedent.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is a Goldsmith and there is no allegation against the petitioner that he had

snatched the chain; and there is no recovery from his possession, I am inclined to allow this application.

Accordingly, this Bail Application is allowed. The petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail in connection with Doranda P.S. Case No.267 of 2025, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand), with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi, subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the petitioner, having sufficient landed property in his / her own name within the State of Jharkhand, with a further condition that the petitioner will appear before the Trial Court once in a month.
