The Writ Petition has been filed for the following relief:
“…to issue a writ or order, proceeding more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 3 and 4 in insisting the petitioner to settle with the 5th respondent for a compromise inrespect of layout works at Survey No 310 of Karivena (V) Atmakuru Mandal Nandyal Dst as illegal, without authority and to declare that the action of the 3rd and 4th respondent in interfering in civil matters, exerting pressure on the petitioner posing threat to his life limb and liberty as illegal, without authority and violative of Art. 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India…”
2. Heard the learned counsel for Petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3. Mr. P.V.A. Padmanabham, learned counsel for the Petitioner, submits that Respondent Nos.3 and 4 are insisting the Petitioner to settle with Respondent No.5 for a compromise in respect of layout works at Survey No.310 of Karivena Village, Atmakuru Mandal, Nandyal District. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the Petitioner was called to the Police Station only in connection with the preliminary enquiry conducted pursuant to the report lodged by Respondent No.5. It is further submitted that the Petitioner

appeared before the Respondent Police only on 05.05.2026 and, except for the said date, did not appear before the Police Station on any other occasion. 5.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and upon recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Respondent Police not to insist or pressurize the Petitioner to settle with Respondent No.5 for a compromise in respect of layout works at Survey No.310 of Karivena Village, Atmakuru Mandal, Nandyal District, without following due process of law. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. _________________________ DR. Y.
