IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 113 CRWP-7490-2026 Date of Decision : June 24, 2026 SANJIV ALIAS PAPPU -PETITIONER V/S STATE OF HARYANA AND OTHERS -RESPONDENTS
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI Present: Mr. Ketan Antil, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Kapil Bansal, D.A.G., Haryana.
KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL)
1. Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to extend his parole by a further period of four weeks in connection with FIR No.80 dated 16.04.2007, registered under Sections 148, 149, 307, 302 IPC, 1860 (Sections 191(3), 190, 103, 109 of BNS, 2023) and 25 of Arms Act, 1959, at P.S. Murthal, District Sonipat.
2. What surges forth from a perusal of the instant petition and the annexures annexed therewith is that the petitioner has already been granted the benefit of extension of parole by this Court on two occasions, vide orders dated 22.05.2026 and 15.06.2026 (Annexures P-2 and P-4, respectively). The petitioner now seeks, for the third time, a further extension of parole on the very same ground, namely, the cataract surgery of his father. However, this Court does not find any fresh or cogent circumstance warranting the grant of the relief prayed for.
3. Consequently, finding no merit in the instant petition, the same is dismissed.
