Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this petition, the petitioner has, inter alia, prayed for the following relief:- “It is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that this petition may very kindly be allowed and the impugned order dated 10-07-2025 passed by the Ld. Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Ghumarwin, District Bilaspur, H.P., in Case Registration No. 20 of 2020 Filing No. 440 of 2020 titled as Anja Devi Versus Piare Lal; whereby partly allowed the petition under Section 127 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the maintenance allowances of the respondent is hereby enhanced to Rs. 4000/- per month may kindly be quashed and set-aside in the interest of justice and fair play and any other relief which deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may kindly be passed in favour of the Petitioner and against the respondents.” 2. During the hearing of the present proceedings, the matter was referred for mediation and in terms of the report received from the learned Mediator, the matter stands amicably settled between the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:40881 parties in terms of the settlement arrived into between them in the shape of the joint statement of the parties, which forms part of the Mediation Report. 3. In light of this development, as prayed for, these proceedings are closed by taking on record the settlement entered into between the parties and by observing that the order under challenge now stands modified in terms of the mutual agreement entered into between them. It goes without saying that the parties shall adhere to the terms of the mutual agreement entered into between them in letter and spirit. It is further ordered that an amount of Rs.1,80,000/- in terms of the settlement entered into between the parties, be released in favor of Smt. Anjna Devi from the FD/Savings Account, which stands mentioned in the joint statement of the parties and the balance amount thereof be released in favor of the son and daughter of the parties herein in equal proportion. Petitioner to ensure that needful is done within a period of two weeks from today. 4. With these observations, the petition stands disposed of, so also pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
