It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that, in terms of the acquisition proceedings, the land of the petitioner stands acquired, so much so that even the award has already been drawn by Collector Land Acquisition, (Assistant Commissioner Revenue), District Doda, but till date the claimants have not been paid the compensation. So much so that, on 13.12.2025, a fresh representation was made to the Deputy Commissioner, Doda, for release of compensation in respect of the land acquired. However, till date compensation has not been paid. It is further submitted that this petition can be disposed of at the admission stage by directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for release of the awarded compensation. 2. Issue notice to the respondents. Sr. No. 99 2 WP (C) No. 2551/2026 3. Ms. Nazia Fazal, Assisting counsel appearing vice Mrs. Monika Kohli, learned Sr. AAG, accepts notice in the matter on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3. 4. Having been regard to the limited prayer as projected, this petition is taken up for disposal without considering the case of the parties on merit, this petition is disposed of by directing respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to treat this writ petition as a representation and proceed to consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, by passing a speaking order within three months from the date of receipt of this order. 5. The petitioner is a senior citizen who, till date, has not been able to reap the fruits of the compensation. 6. Disposed of. (Sanjay Parihar) Judge JAMMU 14.08.2026 Diksha
