Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was placed under suspension vide order dated 04.07.2025 and was thereafter served with a charge-sheet dated 19.09.2025, to which he submitted his reply on 06.10.2025. He submits that despite the JYOTI SHARMA Digitally signed by JYOTI SHARMA Date: 2026.07.03 10:48:53 +0530 2 lapse of more than nine months from the issuance of the charge- sheet, neither has any Inquiry Officer or Presenting Officer been appointed nor has the departmental enquiry progressed. It is, therefore, prayed that the respondents be directed to conclude the departmental enquiry within a time-bound period and pass an appropriate order. 2. Learned State counsel submits that since the charge-sheet has already been issued and the departmental enquiry is pending, the respondents shall conclude the departmental enquiry, in accordance with law, within a period of five months. 3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents. 4. In view of the submission made by learned State counsel, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned authority to conclude the departmental enquiry pending against the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, subject to the petitioner extending full cooperation in the enquiry proceedings.
