Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject matter of the case relate to alleged recovery of 25.542 Kgs. of Ganja from the house of the present petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 18th October, 2025 and charge sheet has already been submitted by the prosecution relying upon 10 witnesses.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
I have taken into account the quantum of seizure, the period of detention and the time which will be consumed by the prosecution to take the trial to its logical conclusion. Having
2 regard to the same, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail.
Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Accordingly, Petitioner, namely, Paruli Parveen shall furnish bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of Learned Judge (under NDPS Act), 4th Court, Alipore, 24 Parganas South. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed before the learned Trial Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of District of 24 Parganas South without the prior permission of the learned Special Court.
Thus, CRM (NDPS) 847 of 2026 is allowed.
Mr. Gouranga Kr. Das, learned advocate and Mr. Amartya Mohan Bhattacharyya, learned advocate was directed to represent the State. Their appearance be regularized by the concerned authorities.
