Mr. Anupam Tripathi, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner, whose prayer (a) is reproduced below. "a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the rejection of character certificate of petitioner on the character certificate dated 05.07.2025 passed by the respondent no. 4, in the interest of justice." 2. Mr. Raj Mohan Upadhyay, learned advocate Additional Chief Standing Counsel appears on behalf of State. He submits, there has been issued Government Order (GO) dated 9th April, 2026, in line with judgment dated 28th May, 2025 of the Division Bench in Writ-C no. 718 of 2025 (Anil Kumar and Others Vs. State of U.P. and Others). 3. Respondent no. 4 (the Deputy Commissioner of Police) is directed to issue the character certificate following aforesaid GO dated 9th April, 2026. Petitioner will communicate certified copy of this order along with copy of his online application to said respondent. The certificate be issued within two weeks of the communication. For the purpose, impugned rejection is set aside and quashed. 4. The writ petition is disposed of.
