BEFORE THE NATIONAL LOK ADALA Rajinder Singh vs Manish Kumar Criminal Revision No.123 of 2026 14.03.2026 Present: Mr. P.S Chandel, Advocate, along with petitioner/accused Rajinder Singh present in person Mr. N.K Bhardwaj, Advocate, for respondent/complainant Learned counsels for the parties have stated that they have been instructions from the parties to compromise this matter before the National Lok Adalat. The matter has been referred for determination to the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties have voluntarily and amicably settled the matter with their free consent, will, volition and without any undue influence or misrepresentation. As per the settlement arrived between the parties, a sum of Rs.40,000/- has been deposited before the learned Trial Court, which amount is agreed to be refunded to the respondent/complainant. Respondent/complainant has also received a sum of Rs.60,000/- from the accused/petitioner. Parties have also placed on record compromise Ext.PA (Annexure P-3). Thus, the matter stands finally settled between the parties. Thus in view of the aforesaid terms and conditions of the settlement, the matter stands finally settled. The terms and conditions of the settlement as above have been explained to the parties/counsel, which they have accepted as correct and appended their signature in evidence of the settlement. The compounding of the offence shall have an effect of acquittal. Accordingly, the accused stands acquitted. Since, the parties have adopted cost, effective and speedy disposal of the matter before the National Lok Adalat, therefore, it is not expedient to impose compounding fee for settlement. File be sent to the Registry of the Hon’ble High Court for doing the needful/consignment.
