Govt of India, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi and Others ...Respondent(s) ********** Advocate for Petitioner: A V S LAXMI Advocate(s) for Respondent(s): M UMA DEVI (CENTRAL GOVT COUNSEL), KOMMINENI MANI DEEPIKA, V UMA DEVI CORAM :SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN DATE : 9th February 2026 ORDER: Sri N.Appa Rao, learned counsel, appearing for petitioners, yet again sought time on the ground that they will take steps for filing application for amendment of cause title insofar as 3rd respondent bank, as it got merged with Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank. The proceedings sheet indicates that such request indeed was made on multiple occasions i.e., on 29.08.2024, 12.09.2024, 19.09.2024 and 26.09.2024. So far, no steps have been taken in 2 CGR, J W.P. No.9388 of 2005 that direction. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant any further time. As no steps were taken seeking for amendment of 3rd respondent bank, on account of the subsequent developments of merger of 3rd respondent bank, this Court is unable to proceed with hearing on the merits. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending in this case, if any, shall stand closed. CHALLA GUNARANJAN, J ss
